Whiskey Sour
Ingredients
- 50 ml Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
- 25 ml Fresh lemon juice
- 15 ml Simple syrup (1 : 1)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon wheel or cherry (for garnish)
- Optional: Egg white (for a smoother, frothy texture)
- Optional: Angostura bitters
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add the whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup and (optionally) the egg white
- Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to chill and combine
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice, or serve straight up
- Garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry and add a few drops of bitters
