Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
  • 25 ml Fresh lemon juice
  • 15 ml Simple syrup (1 : 1)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel or cherry (for garnish)
  • Optional: Egg white (for a smoother, frothy texture)
  • Optional: Angostura bitters
Whiskey Sour

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
  2. Add the whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup and (optionally) the egg white
  3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to chill and combine
  4. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice, or serve straight up
  5. Garnish with a lemon wheel or cherry and add a few drops of bitters
